Business Association Announces Micro-Grant Program

Weaverville – The Weaverville Business Association (WBA) is thrilled to announce the Weaverville Business Association Micro-Grant program. This program is made possible thanks to the Duke Energy Foundation’s Hometown Revitalization grant program. This is the second year Duke Energy has provided targeted grants in support of downtown areas throughout the state.

Grants from the WBA will range from $500-$2500, for a total of $22,500 in grant support. To be eligible to apply, businesses must be for-profit businesses with less than 50 employees (or similarly sized nonprofits that operate a storefront business) and headquartered in the zip codes 28787, 28709, and 28701.

The application opened on October 15th, 2022. The deadline to apply is November 15th. Grantees will be announced in early January 2023. Visit Weaverville@gmail.com to request more information.

The Weaverville Business Association is proud to administer the Duke Energy Foundation’s Hometown Revitalization Program for the benefit of small businesses in the Weaverville area. These grants will allow small businesses to expand their businesses and to better adapt to the new post-pandemic economic landscape. “We are proud that our town has been selected for this generous grant program,” said Bill Boughton, Board President.
