Changing the Name: Little Sprout Carryout & Red Radish Catering

By Dasha Morgan- If you have driven on Sweeten Creek Road this past week, you may have noticed that the Red Radish To Go sign at 1125 Sweeten Creek in Asheville is no longer there, and a Little Sprout Carryout sign has replaced it.

But don’t be alarmed. This is just a name change for the store, and delicious meals are still there to be picked up. This name change is a way of rebranding to help clarify the differences between the catering and the carryout divisions.

There is still a full weekly menu with wholesome, nutritious ingredients to order ahead. Chicken, crab cakes, lasagna, shrimp and prime rib are all still a part of the rotating pantry menu, or one can just pick up a delicious Grab-N-Go Lunch or perhaps find a ready-to-eat, just heat-and-eat,item in the coolers to take home.

Marcus Duarte, owner of Little Sprout Carryout and The Red Radish Catering Company, is one of three brothers who have been cooking, feeding, and serving people in the Carolinas for more than 20 years.

He is well known in Western North Carolina for his expert catering for private special occasions and corporate parties.

His brothers, Mike and Matthew, have locations in Kernersville and Charlotte, North Carolina. All locations focus on presenting gourmet comfort food that’s both fresh and flavorful. And their menus rotate regularly to take advantage of the peak ripeness of seasonal produce.

Little Sprout Carryout of Asheville has added hot soups to the lunch menu and expanded their pantry with cured meats, cheese and dips. Fresh, affordable, and easy-to-prepare carryout food for individual lifestyles, including fresh salads in the coolers and baked goods. In fact a BOGO (Buy one get one) at 50% off is offered the last Friday of every month on freezer items.

Chef Katie Fiore continues to direct the Little Sprout kitchen and perfects the menu by listening to her clients’ suggestions. Little Sprout Carryout provides fresh, affordable, and easy-to-prepare carryout food for individual lifestyles.
